Problem with comments appearing twice

For some reason when I view my comments they appear under the article/post as they should, but they also appear in my sidebar disrupting the content placed there. You can see an example of the problem here

I’m not sure whether this is a problem with the coding in my layout or something text pattern related.
I’d appreciate any help if anyone knows. Thanks!

Have a look at Admin > Preferences. Automatically Append Comments to Articles should probably be set to ‘no’.

Thanks. That fixes the sidebar problem but now my comments don’t show up at all where they should.
