iPhone App - Image Upload
Hi,
i wrote a little iPhone App and an TXP-Plugin that allows you to upload images from your iPhone directly into your TXP-Site.
You can shot a new foto or choose one from your phone.
I included from image tab: Image name, alt text, caption, category, caption, thumb with and height.
Before i post the app into the AppStore, it would be very helpful to do some beta testing!
Next weekend i will set up an server, so that i can distribute the app to betatesters and release the serverside TXP plugin.
Once the app is committed to the App Store, it will be available for free.
Of course the server-side plugin will be released under GPL, but i can’t release the app itself under GPL, because i used some functions which i developed for my company. My boss granted my the right to build an txp app out of these, but the app itself will be closed source ;(
While i’m using my company’s Apple Account and there are some limitations about the number of betetesting devices, i can distribute the app to five betatesters.
So i ask the iPhone users around here if you can do some testing:
- If you have time to test the app and plugin next weekend
- I will need your device id to generate the app’s signature (Get your device id with Ad Hoc Helper)
It would be a pleasure to see five helping hands!

Good to see you back again in the forums, Bastian, and still developing for TXP. (And no, I’m not an app applicant.)

sorry for the delay, but my daylight work was an allday work in the last weeks…
I just send mails to all of you which provided their iPhone’s ID.
Please post your feedback here and not via mail.
Currently the app and the serverside plugin supports these features:
- Login with name and pass at a txp-drive page
- Sync image categories
- Sync thumb width and height
- Choose image from media
- Take new image
- Upload image name, alt text, caption and category. Choose thumbnail width and height and crop
I tested it successfull with my iPhone (3GS) and different txp-sites and i’m looking forward to the feedback of the beta testers…

Bastian, Is this app now available?
