The following PHP Functions are disabled

I´ve just uploaded from local to a terrible hosting company and diagnostic shows that the following PHP functions are disabled:

chroot, rewinddir, pmysql_connect, show_sources, class, mysql_pconnect

The site it´s running ok so far (nothing i could note) but i´m wondering what are the consequences of this? For the record, i´m using 4.3
