[textile] Textile help link for the forum

Uli pointed out that textile.thresholdstate.com is down. So we need another manual to link to from the forum (the link below the message area). I only know of a RedCloth manual and one for Movable Type, both don’t seem very appropriate places to link to from here ;)

Any ideas?

Edit: oh, never mind. Hadn’t seen this topic.

You may link to the Example in Human Textile Reference. It is published under the MIT licence. Therefore I have just set up a textile subdomain here and this can be used also. I believe that as a popup it is very well suited to be used in the forum, and can be changed according to the needs, e.g. to include other languages.

I really like that example. If that becomes the default, I would suggest that, if possible, the colors be matched to the default Textpattern theme, or just desaturated completely.

It would be cool if we had a “local / remote help” toggle in prefs too, kinda like how languages work. I’m all about the custom help files. :-) Maybe we already have that in prefs somewhere?

Yep, it’s really nice. I wouldn’t mind at all replacing the link to the thresholdstate page with this one.

Question: Where does one go to replace the broken link in one’s Textpattern install?

/textpattern/include/txp_article.php line 1049:

'<a id="textile-docs-link" href="http://textpattern.com/textile-sandbox" target="_blank">'.gTxt('More').'</a>').

Which obviously is a redirect to thresholdstate.com.

I think Alex should use a service like Is My Blog Working to alert him of future issues ;)
