pixilate.com- txp-powered simple ecommerce

So after 2 years of tinkering on and off (like it tends to be with personal/hobby projects) I am finally done with the redesign of
pixilate.com.

It’s a site with downloadable /purchaseable fonts and other goodies, and it was by far my most challenging textpattern site to date. The structure/navigation were extremely hard to get as I wanted to, but I finally got 99% there thanks to the awesome support of this community, with their generous supply of plugins, support and advice.

any feedback, suggestions or bug reports are most welcome!

Wow! Excellent all around. The “test drive” feature is really well done. Very impressive!

Way cool! I really enjoyed the font-tester. And the fonts themselves, of course. :-) Thank you for sharing. The plugin writeup was helpful.

What was the hardest part of getting the structure/navigation to behave the way you wanted it to?

Re: pixilate.com- txp-powered simple ecommerce

thanks for the comments. I did not actually DO the font tester myself, just implemented TypeShow

maruchan, it was actually hard to produce a structure of categories—>subcategories—>subsubcategories (ie, fonts—>pixel fonts—>Pixel script) and then have that structure work in the navigation and article listings. It sounded initially like it’d be easy (hey, textpattern does nested categories, right?), but i ran into problems like making a cat-subcat-subusubcat-article navigation or including articles from all subcategories in my category page
