Figuring out the Directory Path

I’m trying to transfer a site over to a new hosting company, Godaddy. How do I figure out the directory path that is in the config.php file?

Re: Figuring out the Directory Path

One way is to FTP a PHPinfo file to your domain, then look at DOCUMENT_ROOT under ‘Apache Environment’.

Re: Figuring out the Directory Path

So found that it was this; D:\Hosting\7488507\html\

I’ve tried various permutations to get this to work but havent’ found it yet. I’ve added \textpattern after the html. I’ve tried \domainname\textpattern and that doesn’t work. Am I missing something?

Re: Figuring out the Directory Path

I searched and found this: http://www.quest4.org/etc/godaddy_path.htm

This is consistent with my own personal experience – first three letters of the username followed by the username followed by an html directory

Or you could do a temporary txp install and see what it says.

Re: Figuring out the Directory Path

Mine looks like:

/home/content/d/a/t/databasename/html/textpattern

where d/a/t represents the first three letters of the database name.
