glz_custom_fields may cause this?

Don’t know, I never used it, but I know there are plugins that are not compatible with MLP. It’s possible that this is one of them.
Which one did you install first? I think it says somewhere in the MLP instructions that preferably MLP should be installed before all other plugins.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Turning off glz_custom_field everything works fine! There is a solution? Maybe reinstalling that plug-in?

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

In this 3 year old post by Steve he mentions a compatibility problem with glz_custom_fields, ‘when adding additional fields’ (see #021). I’m not sure if I understand Steve’s comment correctly, but to me it looks like you should install the glz_ plugin before you install MLP. Possibly even first create all additional custom fields before installing MLP. What do you think?

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

I tried with old site with TXP 4.3.0 and MLP (updated).
The same behavior appears even if mlp is installed before glz_cf.
Excerpt field duplicated…

I knew the old problem of custom fields with mlp and glz_cf but nothing more. I have a site with TXP 4.2.0 – mlp 0.9.13-gp and glz_cf 1.2.4 that works perfectly (except for adding a new custom field).

Duplicate field is not really a big problem, but it isn’t clear for clients!

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

All

following on from posts here and here, I finally got around to packaging up what should be a TXP 4.3 compatible version of the MLP Pack. Please note, it’s been a long time since I built a release of the MLP pack so something could be awry in this zip but please feel free to try it out.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Hi!
I had this warning, every time I tried to post a comment on my site running txp 4.2.0:
Strict Standards: Non-static method timezone::is_dst() should not be called statically in …
This problem was discussed many times, for example here

I changed /textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php on txp as r3284 recommends and now I’m getting error “Notice: Form not found: popup_comments in /textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php on line 1599 “.

Can it be MLP-related?

The first one doesn’t have “dir” attribiute. The copy had it!
Is it a MLP bug?

I upgraded my Textpattern+MLP install from version 4.2.0 to 4.3.0 today, and now I’m seeing a duplicate Excerpt field too. Before upgrading to 4.3, there was only a single Excerpt field. This site uses glz_cf too.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

I can confirm that turning off glz_cf makes the extra Excerpt field go away on my install too. Not knowing what the underlying cause is, I posted this in the glz_cf issue tracker too.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Hello everybody,

I’m working in a site using Textpattern 4.3.0 and the mlp-0.9.13-gp, adapted for 4.2.0. I’m getting always this PHP Notice: Undefined variable: prefs in /home2/documep7/public_html/textpattern/lib/l10n_admin.php on line 518 . Line 518 contains this code: $ver = $prefs['version'];

I’m just a total beginner, and don’t dare to touch anything, yet. Maybe somebody has had this problem before, or maybe it isn’t a big problem. Any advise will be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you,

Pau

Did you really mean ’4.2.0’? You should be using either mlp-0.9.13-gp with these adaptions, or mlp-4.3.0.12, available here.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Hi Els, Thanks for your quick reply!

I mistyped it.. I meant mlp-4.3.0.12, the one you point out in the link.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Well, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this message before, but you could check (in phpMyAdmin) the txp_prefs table. Look for the record where column ‘name’ is ‘version’. Its value (column ‘val’) should be ’4.3.0’. If it’s not that, you can change it and see if that makes the error go away. (I’m just guessing, but it won’t do any harm to try.)
