[request] Tags (Keywords) for files and links?

I am using files and links for literature references, and the title and description fields for the actual reference. For indexing purposes, an additional tags (keywords) field would be needed to search for and generate lists of references. Apparently, there is no plugin for this purpose? Or, is there any other way to solve this problem?
