Installation Issue

I don’t know if this is the correct forum to post this but…

I downloaded Textpattern-4.3.0 and uploaded it to my test site as per the installation instructions. When I load “http.mywebsite.com/textpattern/setup/” I get this error “You don’t have permission to access /textpattern/setup on this server”

My site, including php5 and mysql are working ok as I am able to load other pages.

I have installed Textpattern in the past without any problems.

Can someone help please

Try http://mywebsite.com/textpattern/setup/index.php – you may have directory listings blocked so need to put in the correct url

I tried all that and it did not work. I was installing on my home server (which I have done successfully before), but with no luck this time. I gave up & installed on my hosted account & its working without a hitch.

To my knowledge the setup folder is not meant to be accessed directly during clean installations.
Instead simply go to www.yourwebsite.com/textpattern/ and follow the instructions from there.
