Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
What is the plan for MLP and 4.3.0? Does it make sense to wait or should one go for 4.2.0?

Hi, If you want to work with MLP, its best to stick to 4.2. At the moment I am busy developing a site with MLP and 4.2 and it still get my job done.
4.3 was only released recently so it is going to take a while to make it bug free.

Don’t think nothing happens :) In the meantime, Dimitri is right, stick to 4.2.0.

I’ve seen the txpforge, that was the reason to ask, all the MLP/TXP 4.3.0 issues indicated so far are set 90% done.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Is it possible to detect which language is current page being rendered in.
I need a way to detect the current language and to redirect user to the rendition in other language.
The client wants only the first page to be translated and all others to be shown in default language.

By ‘other language’ do you mean the default language? I don’t quite understand why you’d need to redirect visitors if all other pages are in one language only…

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
If anyone wants to test out the recent fixes against 4.3, just install Txp 4.3, download and install mlp-0.9.13-gp then update the following files using the content of the links in the table…
l10n.css | Replacement… |
lib\l10n_admin.php | Replacement… |
lib\l10n_base.php | Replacement… |
I hope this should give you a fairly functional MLP on TXP 4.3 installation.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Thank you Steve!!! Just updated six MLP sites (4 production sites – one even from 4.0.7 -, 2 test sites in subdomains), and everything seems to work as it should.
For everyone who is just as happy with this as I am, Steve has a Paypal button on his site :)

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Is there a list of MLP tags with the options description? I can’t find such.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
It’s in the plugin help. See under ‘Manage’ in Admin > Plugins. I think there is one tag missing there, I’m planning to copy the help to txpforge.org soon and add it there.
