How to get rid of p tags when using textile

For whatever reason, textile is putting p tags around my img tags and this causes necessary margins to the img tag. What do I put in front of the image tag to avoid the breaks?

Here is a TXP Tip on the subject – Turn off textile in your article.

Hi jmart

start the line with a space.

ie

 <txp:image id="1" />

some text
