txP 4.2.0 with current MLP results in 404

Hello dear friends

I’m a complety newbie concerning txP and there occured a (from my view) bigger problem:

After successfully updating an older txP version to the current 4.2.0, I tried to integrate the most recent MLP according to the README.txt found in the MLP package.

In the backend it looks as the process would be successful, but the frontend is giving me back a 404.

Further informations, I made my installation on a subdomain:

http://mysubdomain.mydomain.com

Actually, I’m still able to call the site over: http://mysubdomain.mydomain.com/index.php

BUT receive an:
Notice: Undefined index: l10n_request_uri in /home/websitea/www/mysubdomain.mydomain.com/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(594) : eval()’d code on line 431

… when debugging mode is active.

Further I can say, that when I type the URL: http://mysubdomain.mydomain.com

… it redirects me to:
http://mysubdomain.mydomain.com/de/

… what is correct from my view… but there I get a 404.

Also using directly the second language:
http://mysubdomain.mydomain.com/fr/

… delivers a 404.

Does that problem have something to do with URL rewrite? To a .htaccess file maybe?

It would be very helpful to me, if someone could give me some hints where to look after my problem or to find someone who already experienced a similar problem.

Thank you in advance and have a nice day!
Oliver

[SOLVED]

Sorry, I just tried out the last thing in my mind, to add a .htaccess file. I thought it wouldn’t have an effect, because I couldn’t find any comments related to that in the MLP doc.

Now it’s working – sorry again for wasting your time.

As I remember, I just added the .htaccess file contained in the delivered cms package.
