Re: [request] Editorial Calendar

I just logged in to ask about the same thing and happy to see I’m not alone. This is very useful for sites having more than one author. Heck, even for one author. We desperately need something like this for STC France, for example.

I wonder if a plugin could convert the Articles panel to a calendar grid format…as a start for thinking about it?

Re: [request] Editorial Calendar

Just checked out the links. I’m coming down w/ a case of plug-in envy. And I rarely envy Wordpress. :)

Re: [request] Editorial Calendar

This is getting looked at pretty favorably by the people I show it to whose editorial process I’m helping to establish. I’m even getting the question: “Why don’t we just use WordPress?” To which I reply, because we’re already using Textpattern, one of the best content publishing systems available, with many advantages over WP than just this calendar…yadda yadda. To which they just shrug, of course.

Anyway, if this can even be done with Txp (I don’t know, maybe not), I think some money is in order for anyone willing to tackle it. The WP version looks like a pretty good model to work from.

If we can get 100 euros donated to the cause, I think I can get enough interest from my side to match that much. A dev might think more than that is required and I wouldn’t blame them, but 200 would be a good start, I guess.

Re: [request] Editorial Calendar

Just to notice that the Scheduler developed here seems to be related to this request. Maybe it’s a possible starting point.
