Conditional tag for 'if the author is logged in'?

Hi there – a quick question, one that I suspect has been answered before but I didn’t find the answer to yet.

Is there a conditional tag that can do stuff if either a) an administrator or b) an article author is logged in?

…if this is likely to open a whole box of pain, please let me know and I’ll saunter away quietly :)
