Really slow TXP-driven site (tagtrace)
I’m the owner of a website loading extremely slowly. Several of my readers have also complained about this.

Runtime is exceedingly slow, as you knew already, but the total query time is very low.
Unfortunately the tag trace does not show timestamps, making it hard to find the slowdown.
Anything interesting in your <txp:php> tags?
An approach to diagnosing this is to make a backup of the default template, then start with a blank template and paste chunks in. Obviously better to do this on a test server if you have one set up, otherwise put the site in maintenance mode (as with rvm_maintenance).

Could be a DNS problem. In that case, make sure you also disable DNS lookups in the advanced preferences. And try commenting out the <txp:smd_xml> tags.

As a matter of course for slow-loading sites I delete the sbl.spamhaus.org from the Advanced Prefs just to see if it helps.
And regarding smd_xml, if it does turn out to be (even part of) the issue — which is quite likely — then I’d strongly suggest using the cache_time attribute to save hitting the remote site every page load.

You can try rah_runtime – it measures time needed for parse chunks of code.

Looks like the problem disappeared completely by itself. Anyway, thanks for your response. Most likely, I need this advices in the future, as Textpattern is the CMS of my choice.
