Re: [request] iPhone & Txp: a killer application

Hi Zander, any chance you could let me know your iphone dev contact too for another project via PM?
Also I would be quite happy to contribute a small amount to funding a TXP app as well.
Cheers,
Phil

I concur. What would happen once the app is developed? Chances are at some point in the future it would need maintenance work as Apple update iOS.

Yeah, but that happens with every piece of software.

We really need to focus on getting media upload written on the RPC, otherwise creating the app would be pointless.
I’ve stated a while back, but I’ll do it again: I already contacted the core developers (every single one) and I’m waiting for them to reply — I’m keeping my hopes high that they’re taking their time because they’re actually considering this option — it would rock.

I went through the theme and thought this was a great job. My only question is there any way to edit the presentation area? That would be nice because you can’t scroll through the textbox with the default theme on the iphone

What’s the current status of the iphone app project? Unfortunately it’s somewhat of a deal breaker between TXP and WP for me.

And I’d really, really like to go with TXP.

Still waiting for the core developer’s answer to media upload through the RPC server.

Re: [request] iPhone & Txp: a killer application

Hey guys, I hate (meaning: I love) to bring this up again, but I just spoke to a guy about the app. I’ve got a new estimate: 800 euros.
That and 4.3.0 coming up — hopefully with the needed update of the RPC — might be good news.

What are your thoughts?

Don’t know what this means for your project, but did you see 4.3.0’s History/change log has this:

Incutio XML-RPC Library 1.7.4

Yeah, I did see that on the original post, but on further investigation the block relative to MediaObjects still shows a #TODO ??? line :(

Android 2.2 now supports file uploads from the browser so I can upload images from my phone directly in the Textpattern Admin.

My Plugins

Piwik Dashboard, Google Analytics Dashboard, Minibar, Article Image Colorpicker, Admin Datepicker, Admin Google Map, Admin Colorpicker

Re: [request] iPhone & Txp: a killer application

iOS 6 allows image file uploads (from gallery) and the Hive admin theme in Textpattern 4.5 onwards is iPhone friendly. So that’s a good choice.

An app would be nice though, if someone’s up for doing it.

Re: [request] iPhone & Txp: a killer application

Hi Phil! Thank for answer. I’m going to test Hive theme. I’ve try TXPmobile but I got errors in my Mac browser, and In my iPad I just could see the Content tab.

I would pay for a decent TXP iPad or iPhone app.
