Textpattern Search and Keywords

Hi all,

Quick question: does the inbuilt site search in a textpattern powered site just search through title and body content, or does it also search such things as excerpt and keywords, custom fields etc?

Main reason is I am probably going to remove keywords altogther throughout a large TXP site (as the meta keywords tag is worthless nowdays) and want to know that is not going to affect inbuilt search results.

Cheers,
Phil

Re: Textpattern Search and Keywords

Thanks Yiannis,

So in summary: only title and body are searchable fields in textpattern search as default – other fields can be included as searchables using a plugin (namely wet_haystack).

Great, that means bye bye keywords field and meta tag with no ill effects.
