Display related articles in 4.2.0

I’m using tru-tags and upm_image plugins so you know. I’m not allergic to using others. So many Moveable Type and Wordpress blogs have this graphic addition of related articles and since it’s become what’s expected, I’d like to mimic the same.

I read some discussions that go back to early v4 but found nothing that might be updated for 4.2.0 What methods can I use on the Default Page or Archive Page to generate results for Similar Stories?

Simple answer: many ways.
Can you be a little bit more specific?

The Textpattern tag reference offers the robust & performant <txp:related_articles> – – which is sufficient in many cases.

But by eg using article_custom and the pretty new technique tags in attributes – single quoted attribute values using TXP tags – you can produce a bulk of different ‘related’ article lists. Simple example: <txp:article_custom section=’<txp:section />’ />. Check out Parsing Tag Attributes
