Improve Visitor Experience With Different Resolutions
With such varied possible screen resolutions that site visitors could now use.
What is the best approach to deliver a good experience to all?
Has anyone written a txp based website that handles mobile devices (Android & iPhones), iPads (in both orientations), Notebooks (eeePC 1024×600), Laptops, and very large LCD monitors/TV’s?
What is the best logic for checking screen/browser resolution?
Something like this (very simplified)?
Has Cookie been set --- YES (Not first visit) --- Serve appropriate CSS
No
Java Detect screen.width and screen.height
Write Cookie
Refresh Page ---?
I’d be very interested to hear views and ideas on this as it is something I’d like to implement on all my sites.

Re: Improve Visitor Experience With Different Resolutions
Hi Yiannis,
I’ve signed up on Oliver’s site.
I was more interested in front-end solutions and methods people are using.
Presently I don’t have the need to use the admin-side on a mobile.
But it’s still interesting.
Thanks
Geoff
