About user management
Hi everyone I’m new at textpattern and infact I barely know the basics of PHP, going straight to the topic
I want to know if there is a possible way for me to assign my users to a specific designation so that they wont clutter around TXP everytime they want to
add, update, or delete thier posts and uploads, I’ll try to make my self clear I know it’s kinda confusing,
elaborating it further:
ok so this is the situation I’m building a page named: “admission.php”
now I created a user limited to only as a “writer” named as “user_admission”
guessing by the name… yes if we’re thinking the same thing, I intentionally
created “user_admission” to manage the content of the page I currently created (admission.php)
now here’s the catch…
I want to designate user_admission “TO ONLY HAVE ACCESS” to the contents of admission.php, no where else
everytime he log in on TXP, he can only view his “OWN PAGE” which is “admission.php” that I designated to him,
and ‘add, edit, delete’ ONLY his posts and will not be enable to view the files and articles of other users…I would like to know if TXP is capable of granting me those control over my users, thank you so much for
taking your time reading through my post,
I would highly appreciate any form help coming from you the experts, I give you my deepest gratitude.
regards…
Jerric

Re: About user management
Did you read up on User roles and permissions?
There is also a plugin that lets you modify these.
