Re: Moving to new subdirectory
mysql db does not need to be updated. Can you post a link or/and diagnostics?

Gocom said that only 2 things needed to be updated:
◦MySQL database
◦/textpattern/config.php
I answered to the OP that no other file needs to be modified than the data that is stored in the DB and the config.php.
I did also mention that the only thing you need to change, if you are just changing paths, is to update config.php (for backwards compatibility reasons) and the paths/urls in Preferences. There is nothing else to it.
As colak suggested, could you provide your diagnostics (TXP/Admin/Diag) if something isn’t working.

Re: Moving to new subdirectory
Thanks for the feedback.
The Diagnostic message that I get is: “Old placeholder file is in the way: /var/www/html/design-questionnaire”
This folder is where my password protection .htaccess file resides. Everything was working fine when it was in a folder on this server. Now that the site’s in the root my Article links are confused.
Thanks for helping.

Re: Moving to new subdirectory
I’ve removed a file that I was using to password-protect a Section. This game me the “All checks passed!” in Diagnostics. But the hyperlinks within any Articles pages are still looking for the old folder that the site was in before it was moved to the root.
I’m wondering if it would make sense to reload the database into PHPMYAdmin.

Re: Moving to new subdirectory
I found the problem regarding Article page hyperlinks seeing the old folder location. It appears to be an issue with the browser cache. When i went back to each article and selected “Reset Time to Now” in the Time Stamp, the problem disappeared.
