[request] File uploading within "write" tab

Hi all,
I’m wondering if someone could develop a plugin for uploading files within the write tab.
I thought I could easily modify stm_image_uploader to obtain such functionality but unfortunately I was overestimating my limited php skills and I failed miserably :-(
I’m sure this would be really appreciated by many users (and by me of course).
