Blank page in after first login after installation
I think you know about this “feature” which is because of the way in which txp installs – it installs like old version and then launches update scripts.
But this behaviour scares newbies – they see blank page (only logo and logout link are avaible at first login) and follow two ways (mostly):
- go to forum (friend who adviced them txp) and ask question
- update page again and have no problems more
But both this steps leave bad feeling, like if txp is unended CMS. I just want that my best CMS have clean installation from the start to the end… Less bad feelings – more happy users – bigger community – more sites – so on…

Yes Victor, I agree. It might be scary for new users and give TXP bad image, even that is intended behaviour.
There are some methods the updater could be fixed. With redirecting, launching the updates before login, or updating the intial setup script to include the updates. Or the updater could be re-tweaked a bit to split out a message or something.

Yes it’s a shame this wasn’t caught in time, but wet has fixed it now.
