clean URL help needed!
Hello! I’m recently experiencing some problems with clean url’s and TXP 4.2.0. I have several Txp installs, same shared hosting provider, everything has always worked like a charm until now.
I tried to install TXP 4.2.0 – fresh install, it’s not an upgrade – on a server which runs Php 5.2.6 and I just can’t get clean url’s working.
The strange thing is that diagnosis seems ok: if I turn on clean Url’s I don’t get any error, but on the front end I get a 404 error for any page except the home page. If I switch to messy url’s everything’s fine. If the server doesn’t support clean url’s I should get an error in the diagnosis page, right?
I tried to play with htaccess but it doesn’t get any better, and all I have is 500 error even on the backend.
By the way after the last Snow Leopard + Mamp upgrade all my local Txp installs seems to be broke, and can only work switching to messy Url’s. Is it a Php problem or what?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Please, post high diagnostics (TXP/Admin/Diag/High).

Re: clean URL help needed!
Thanks Gocom for replying to my question so quickly.
I’ll check the links for the Snow Leopard issue, I made a search through the forum but I missed those two links, sorry about that.
Regarding the other issue… I feel so dumb! While waiting for your answer I re-installed TXP on the server, then created a new .htaccess and now everything works. I really don’t know what went wrong with the previous install! Or maybe I just shouldn’t do this kind of things on Labour Day…
Sorry again.
