get an article to display before it's posted date

This is probably so simple I am afraid to ask. I am pushing the dates of some articles into the future to work with the smd calendar plug in. But I also want the event articles to display immediately using the basic article tags. So the question is how can I get an article to display before it’s posted date?

thanks

I think you’d have to use time="future" (or more likely time="any") in your article/article_custom tag.

However, you can mix things up a little with smd_calendar by specifying a datefield. You can put the event’s start date in that (custom) field and leave the Posted date as the date the article is published, thus enabling you to ‘pimp’ upcoming events in your regular article flow using standard tags.

(when I get my head round times and stuff a little better, this will be much improved in the next version)
