Re: rvm_substr (v0.3)

Haha, you are right! How embarrasing :/

Anyway, your plugin works fine, thanks :)

Re: rvm_substr (v0.3)

First: Thanks for the plugin!

Anyone know of an easy way to get this? <txp:if_rvm_substr length="27">some content</txp:if_rvm_substr>? Note: if_ is my invention, not a tag that’s included.

I’ve a case where it’d be nice to server-side detect this condition, w/o actually doing the truncation.

Thanks in advance for any comments, cheers, -Alan

Re: rvm_substr (v0.3)

If you’re working with plain text strings, you could use the smd_if plugin

PS. if you want to use it as an if-construct, you’ll have to set both the length condition and the “some content” part as a tag attribute.

Re: rvm_substr (v0.3)

I love smd_if but didn’t see a way I could use it in this case.

I’ll go back and pore over Stef’s docs.

Tks Rudd!

Re: rvm_substr (v0.3)

Hi Rudd,

Does rvm_substr work ok with textpattern 4.3.0 I am about to upgrade and want to check there won’t be any issues when I do so.

Thanks

Re: rvm_substr (v0.3)

Doing due diligence for a client site upgrade: does rvm_substr play nicely on Textpattern 4.6(.2)? Thanks in advance.

Re: rvm_substr (v0.3)

The most recent version should work fine (registers tags).
