Categories appear only as 'default'

Hi

How can I refer the category views to a new ‘page’?

Use the section attribute in the category_list tag (or in the category, category1 or category2 tag).

Hmm. I cannot see how this can be done.
and viewing the search results uses the default page also.

Re: Categories appear only as 'default'

Yep, that’s right, category lists and search results use the front page (default section) by default. It’s easy to change that, but you need to change the tags that create the links (like I mentioned above), and you need to place the right tag(s) on the section page to display the articles.
So, two questions:

  • which tag(s) are you using to generate the links to the category pages?
  • do all articles in the categories belong to the section you want to display them in?
