For Example: Sports2all.com/extras
And its subpage: Sports2all.com/extras/games

how do i connect those two pages/articles.

Thank you.

Hi SuperMAG

You could use

  • category – article
  • section – article

for the url structure, you could use gbp_permanent_links

gbp_permanent_links doesn’t have a help section, so it’s indeed a difficult plugin if you’re just starting out with Txp ;) But you don’t necessarily need that plugin, if you structure your site so that ‘extras’ is a section, and ‘games’ is an article, you’ll get the /extras/games URLs out of the box.

Re: Sub Articles of articles. just the connection of links.

well i did try that, but by doing that, the other 20 pages links will be changed too, i mean other pages have a default section for example called Pages.

it all shows pages/help or pages/livechat

I am really stuck in all this.

There should have been simpler things in textpattern core, like pages, sub pages.

Not everybody uses Articles etc.

hi SuperMAG,

In txp there’s no such thing as sub-articles. What we have are

  • Sections
    • Categories
      • Sub-Categories
        • Sub-sub-categories etc
          • Articles

You can organise your articles content allocating them to sections and/or categories

well i can do categories, but would it help, i mean will it make the links change from /chat to extras/chat etc.

as for sections, if i changed the url structure like section/title then it will change the other 20 pages too, so that doesnt work.
