lenka template install - newbie question

I have installed the textpattern template lenka on my Local Mac server. I have added all the pages and forms, but have a problem with the permlink title and comment not showing up in the default section (home), but the body shows. If I add a title to the default form I can see a recuring title so the correct form is being used. I think it maybe something to do with the page/sections.

I have created 2 Sections Archive (using the archive page) and Contact (contact Page) and assigning hte default page to default. When writing posts I have only archive and contact section to choose from.

I have attached some png to show the problem I have, please could someone help..

Best way to get help for this sort of problem (and also to learn how to resolve such problems yourself) is to put your site in debugging mode and post a link to the site or post a tag trace in the forum (you’d do the latter in this case since the site is on your local server).

I installed a complete new template (TXP Afterglow) but the permlinks still don’t show up? Its a little odd, is it something to do with my preferences for this new user (local) I have setup?

Do you have a custom field named ‘title’?

yes, i did create 2 custom fields in the preferences when i installed the first theme,..one of them title, could this conflict with the title in the post.. didnt think of this?
