Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
HI!
I think ur mod is really good…
I got one problem though;
My site can’t find my css file any more..
it should be: siteroot/css.php?n=default
but it looks in siteroot/en/css.php?n=default
So the problem is it looks in the virtual language map.. (or something like that..)
Can anyone help me?

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Els, thanks for you reply; my problem is that the Flash video player looks for a XML file at the root of the site, and all I’m getting right now is a “not found” error as it’s looking in [site url]/en/videos_playlist.xml
instead of [site url]/videos_playlist.xml
. I believe this is hardcoded in the Flash player… :-P
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Ben.

Or… could someone help with a rewrite rule in htaccess?
What do you need to redirect where?

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
If the name of the XML file is always the same, you could first try if a simple redirect works:
Redirect permanent /en/videos_playlist.xml http://yoursite.com/videos_playlist.xml
It should go somewhere after the closing </IfModule>
, and you’d need to repeat that for each language. It can also be done with one rewrite rule instead of a separate redirect for each language, but I’m not very good with regular expressions :/

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Thanks for the hint, Els.
I could not test it until my hoster upgraded the system and installed php 5.3.1-5. Now it’s ok – sections and categories are editable. It would be nice to mention minimal requirements in MLP installation docs – it could save a lot of time and headache for somebody.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Thanks, liniocht, I updated the issue on txpforge.org. If someone (preferably Graeme) could confirm the relation with the PHP version, I could at least add it to the MLP wiki.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Hello,
is MLP 0.9.13 incompatible with the multisite feature of TXP 4.2.0?
I have installed Textpattern according to the “recommended”
option “A” as detailed in sites/README.txt
Now my blog URL points to http://blog.example.com/ and the backend to http://admin.example.com/
I have no publicly reachable /textpattern directory.
After installing MLP so far I find it generates hardcoded links to
blog.example.com/textpattern/index.php in the admin interface.
Any chances for me to get a multilanguage (3 languages)
site running with MLP + multisite TXP?
Greetings!
RS

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
I’m not so sure this is MLP related. It’s possible that the fact that your site is in a subdomain (blog) is more likely to cause your problems. Would you mind posting this in the Troubleshooting or How do I forum? Multi-site experts are more likely to notice it over there. If it does turn out to be MLP related, please post back here.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Hello there,
I am having problems with making URL exclude work here. It seems to work sporadically, complying to some rules while ignoring others. For example with this exclude string “css , js , highslide, “, this CSS include <link rel=“stylesheet” type=“text/css” href=”/kakslauttanen/highslide/highslide.css” /> turns to <link rel=“stylesheet” type=“text/css” href=”/en/kakslauttanen/highslide/highslide.css” />.
A curious thing that the Highslide Javascript include in the same file does not get the same treatment and it works just fine.
I used to have the same exclude problems with “css, js” described earlier in this thread, tried all the solutions, none of which worked. But eventually the problem just disappeared by itself or maybe upgrade to mlp 0.9.13-gp did the trick. Cance anyone help me with this one? Many thanks in advan
My configuration is as follows:
Textpattern version: 4.2.0 (r3275)
gbp_admin_library: 0.4.2
i10n: 0.9.13-gp

Hi, I’d like to add a small usefull feature request: Some sort of plugin tag, that allows, to call an article or article_custom by ID, and that will then display the according rendition, according to browsed language.
Hi,
I’ve been wrapping my head around this but couldn’t find a simple solution to call an article by (row) ID to the front page and have it automagically render in the correct browser language.
is there anything easy like
<txp:article_custom form="someform" row_id="16" limit="1" />
that can be called for ?
thanks for any help, I’ve been away from textpattern for very long and am very slow at getting back at it ;-)

What is the root of your site? I don’t understand this part: href="/kakslauttanen/highslide/highslide.css"
. If your site is in /kakslauttanen/ shouldn’t it be href="/highslide/highslide.css"
? And if your site is in /, shouldn’t you exclude kakslauttanen?

It’s not in the plugin help, but I think you need l10n_get_rendition_id
:
<txp:article_custom id='<txp:l10n_get_rendition_id articleid="123" />' />
