Custom Field for Images?

One of my clients has hundreds of images in his database, and each one has the following information…

1) Image name 2) Category 3) Alternate text 4) Caption

Client is asking me if it’s possible to add a fifth field called “License”. In this field, he would type the name of the company that the image is licensed to.

This information would not be visible on the page itself, but they would like to be able to sort by this field when on the main “Images” tab.

Is this possible?

I’m afraid the answer is currently no; it would take a significant customization to accomplish this.

Why don’t you just use the “Alt text” for the “image name” and the “alt text” and use the image name for the copyright?

Hey, that worked great!

The ‘image name’ does not show up on the page itself, so I can put whatever I want there (‘License’ in this case). Shows up in admin – but not the public page.
