sub-category under 2 different categories ?

In my paper and pencil rpg site, link to the left in profile, I have a Forest in different nation categories. I want to add the same forest as a sub-category to both nations. When I go to create it a second time, on the Category page, it says it already exists.

Is there a way to do this ?

Thanks.

Re: sub-category under 2 different categories ?

You could change the title of each category to be the same; Txp will allow that. That might not do what you want, though, because the title is just for show; behind the scenes the name is what counts. Bizarrely, category name, not ID, is what gets stored in the articles (textpattern) table.

You could also edit the category names directly in the database. I doubt this is a good idea, because of how article categories are stored by name instead of ID.

Category handling is an area where even Txp die-hards will admit Txp is lacking.

of course, I could change the name of the forest. I have realized that they probably wouldn’t call it the same name, even if they got along.
