[archived] glx_gallery

Version 0.3
This plugin is is a hacked version of jwl_img_list it outputs a gallery from a given category to a nice dl list if the parameter <code>usecaption</code> is set to <code>1</code> it outputs a caption under the image.
Since version 0.3 it is possible to use <code>pop=“1”</code> to have images open in a pop up, note you must have dca_pop installed to have this to work.
Example CSS is included in the documentation.
Edit: Plugin updated 0.3

Re: [archived] glx_gallery
How exactly is this implemented on a site?
I am having the darndest time getting it to do anything…
EDIT:
got it to display thumbs, but the larger pic is shown on another page. How can I get the larger to display on the current page?

Re: [archived] glx_gallery
yess, that is the way its ment to work. I wanted it to be like this so I could use bigger large image than my sitedesign allowed me to.
You can see an example of the plugin in work at my site.
But you can edit it to work with dca_pop Then the images will be prewied in an popup instead.
If you are intrested in this I could add this to the plugin?

Re: [archived] glx_gallery
I would be interested in the ability to display the larger image on the same page. Is this feature possibly in the works?

Re: [archived] glx_gallery
Hi Osei,
I am finding many javascript errors lately with using Maz Ziebels Gallery and any ie user. I was wondering if you had ever incorporated the dca_pop feature into this plug-in. I have a few sites I would port over to this plugin. But the thread sort of trails off. I was also wondering if you could use this as an article and place the tag within textile. I just need to get rid of the javascript. I am using it <a href=“http://elliottmetal.com/”>here</a> for instance and it works great in geko browsers, but as usual in ie it generate multiple javascript errors and opens the image in a page by itself anyway. So I might as well go with a nice user friendly definition list.
Thanks!

Not to dissuade you from using this plugin but if you want to do popups you might want to try rss_thumbpop.

Re: [archived] glx_gallery
Hi Wilshire I don’t know how that slipped past me. Our “little” forum is geeting hard to navigate. I am currently moving through all the image plugins I can get my hands on to re-evaluate them. I would love a php substitute for Max’s plugin. It works great for everyone not using ie., but alas I am completely ignorant in the area of php coding. I will download rss_thumbpop right now as well.
Thanks!

Osei,
How much work would it be to incorporate the dca_pop function? I don’t want to put you to alot of trouble though.

Plugin updated
Version 0.3
- usecaption now requires the value 1 instead of true.
- added the parameter pop, set this to 1 to have images open in a pop up, requires the dca_pop plugin.
I never tested wilshires plugin, but it sure looks good. Hope there cant be to much gallery plugins for txp :)
Thanks for your words soulship it really warms :)
