Hey there,
we’ve just relaunched www.unigolftour.de, a german-speaking website for golf-playing students from Northern Germany. They can join the tour, play some awesome collegiate tournaments in 2010 and collect points – at the end we’ll have a winner, just like the pros :-)
Powered by Textpattern 4.2.0 with love – and with heavy use of some great plugins, e.g.
- adi_title (splitting the names of the players: in their profile it’s “Forname Surname”, in the leaderboard it’s “Forname SURNAME”)
- ajw_comments_feed (comments via RSS)
- aks_var (extensive calculation of results in the leaderboard – a) for each player and b) for the universities, with the help of custom fields, categorys and a complex structure of forms :-) … first tournament in may)
- ebl-image-edit (editing the players’ images directly in the backend)
- gbp_permanent_links (manipulating url-structure)
- glz_custom_fields (yeah, yeah, yeah!)
- ob1_title (context-sensitive titles in the browser’s head)
- rah_write_each_section (helps the authors through the jungle…)
- rss_auto_excerpt (for our frontpage with the shortened blog entries)
- sed_section_fields (helps the authors through the jungle, too :-)
- the_video (easy video embedding)
- upm_img_popper (inserting images for dummies)
- upm_insert_tab (a must!)
- wet_quicklink (fast-building internal link-structure)
- wet_recent_comments (latest comments)
You plugin-developers really do a fantastic job. Without these plugins, that website wouldn’t be possible for me like it is. Thanks a lot!

Excellent site! Thanks too for taking the time to outline the use you made of each of the plug-ins. Personally, I found that to be illuminating – several light bulbs popped on in my brain.
