Installation help...
Hi, i am looking for some help if anyone is wiling and able to do so please. My website, was a bit of a drunken bet many years ago now, and well its taken off and its failry busy. Sadly though i am limited to my knowledge and installation of the software on my server.
I would like to have textpattern installed on my server, but am not brave enough to do it (LOL) and was wondering if anyone would be willing to do it for me at all please??
Thankyou
Ian

Re: Installation help...
If you’re looking for help doing the job yourself the usual forum is How Do I…? & Other Questions. If you’re looking to hire a pro, the place is Seeking Txp Pros. You’ll probably get more responses that way. You can repost to one of those fora or ask a moderator to move the topic for you.
I see your RS-mania site is already using a CMS, Etomite. Why do you want to switch? Have you used Txp before? Naturally everyone around here is big on Txp, and I know nothing about Etomite, but still it would help to know what is motivating you to make this change.

Re: Installation help...
Well, you are running Etomite so your server meets the requirements for running Txp.
Installation’s pretty easy, see Installation. I even did a screencast.
To get the most out of the switch, you’ll need to get an understanding of how Txp organizes content and what options you have for site architecture. Start with the TextBook tutorials, and perhaps also browse TXP Tips for ideas.
