Suckerfish Dropdowns under "Write" showing available Sections?

Is it possible to show a dropdown menu under the “Write” tab, with a listing of all available Sections?

So, if I hover over “Write” I see a listing of Sections, and when I click one, that becomes the section I’m posting to.

Also, would it be possible to have the same under “Articles”, and then I’d get a listing of all available articles under that section only?

Here’s a mock up:

Though it’s not quite what you want, lam_browse_by has a Section dropdown. It’s probably not that tricky to modify it to your requirements, depending on your PHP skills :-)

… or you can try rah_write_each_section for the “write” tab. Again, it doesn’t do exactly what you are looking for but goes near.

My PHP skills are near to non existent.
If a developer would be interested in this I’d like to help fund such a plugin. I think it would make a nice addition.
