[request] can anyone make a plugin with this PHP code?
There’s no Persian date plugin, and this limits TXP usage in Iran. I have a PHP date converter, but I’m not familier with PHP and TXP Plugins. Is there anyone kind enough to do this?

well, dear Victor… I don’t even know how to run a PHP code :D
but I think gregorian_to_jalali would convert gregorian date to jalali (Persian) date. for example, we might be able to call gregorian_to_jalali (2009,12,23) and get “دوم دی 1388”, or something like that. it’s the only needed function here. This would be great to be able to use <txp:posted /> as input and produce the output.

Looking at the code, gregorian_to_jalali() returns an array containing the numeric year, month and day, so you’d have to use the monthname() and Convertnumber2farsi() functions to convert those to what you want.
Ideally you’d convert the pdate() function to work similar to safe_strftime() in TXP and create a tag handler in a plugin that allows you do to <txp:pdf_posted /> and have that return everything in Farsi, similar to what <txp:posted /> would do for gregorian dates.
PS. that code makes my eyes hurt.

Writing a plugin takes time.
If people find an plugin interesting to write, they’ll often help.
If they have lots of spare time, they often help.
If you want some advice on how to write your own plugin, see the links Ralph posted.
But if all that doesn’t work and you need someone else to write a plugin for you within a short time, you can always pay someone here to write it for you ;)
