NAPHONE - iphone theme for Textpattern
Hello Textpatterners,
I’m proud to announce the release of NAPHONE admin side theme for textpattern. The theme takes a Remora and cleans it up and adds some css3. The desktop side of the theme features Helvetica on most of the elements, standardizes layout of form elements and more…
On the iphone/mobile front the theme utilizes the jqtouch css, with planned expansion to jqtouch javascript.
In order to make the mobile side flow properly there is a tweak to a single core file, where the table element is replaced with divs so the iphone can render properly.
or at flickr… (What’s with textile?) flickr gallery
The code should display well on Firefox and Safari; but is untested elsewhere…
Check it out and tell me what you think!

Re: NAPHONE - iphone theme for Textpattern
So, is there a downside to using this? Does the tweak of the core file mean I have to reinstall this every TXP update?
EDIT: Oh and…uh…any install instructions? You say theme, so I’m guessing I just merge it with the current theme.
Just curious about what I’m getting myself into here. :)

Re: NAPHONE - iphone theme for Textpattern
Yes, the downside would be changing the core file at every update. It’s relatively simple to do, you just replace txp_article.php with the one included in the zip file.
If you do not want the iphone capability you can just add the files inside a zip to /textpattern/themes/naphone to try it out. You’ll have to create the naphone folder.

does this theme let you use the normal theme on a regular PC, but switches to iphone when you access your site on that platform?
