This is incorrect. TXP uploads the files to the files directory but the url to download the files shows as file_download because of the .htaccess redirect to index.php.

Actually, TXP uploads the files to the textpattern directory as that is where I see all my uploaded files

MattD is correct. Unless you change the default path in advanced preferences, it is your domain/files

I also am wondering at uploading pdf files with an image plugin. I would think that would cause some issues.
