[solved] Blank Page after install

Hello,

After a fresh install of textpattern, that seemed to go very smoothly, I have a blank home page. I can access the admin interface just fine. I tested this on a mac with safari, firefox & google chrome – and on a pc on ie8. The responses range from a blank page, to “can’t open page” to complaints about the internet connection being dropped. Sites on the same server w/o textpattern are up and running.

I searched and found a couple of threads, one was a guy who judging by his headers wasn’t serving textpattern – since the charset was not UTF-8, which is not the case with me – I’m not getting any headers according to firebug. Nada.

I found a thread on the Joyent community page, and it had the same problem, but no solution.

The only thing in diagnostics that shows up is “Clean URL Test Failed”. I think the test is failing as a symptom of my general problem here.

So, here I am. My url where’s I’m trying this out is: www.phillipharrington.com (creative, huh?)

Can you offer some assistance or help in tracking this down?

Follow-up: I found production status in the admin > prefs and tried live, testing, debugging. All 3 have the same result: empty response.

Copying the rpc and textpattern directory from a fresh download, then re-creating the config.php seems to have fixed the problem.
