User preferences settings instead of cookies?

I’ve upgraded to 4.2.0 on a couple of sites. It’s excellent all around. One thing I’m finding a little frustrating though is the way the interface “remembers” how I want the write page and article page; I actually can’t seem to get it to remember it the way I want. Maybe these items could be added to preferences, similar to the “Default admin tab” setting.

Re: User preferences settings instead of cookies?

Please define:

  • what you want/expect
  • what you experience as actual behaviour

Please note that since Textpattern 4.2.0 the interface does remember its current state in preferences, though hidden ones. It’s a trivial task for a plugin to lift those into visibility and mingle them to your heart’s desires.

Re: User preferences settings instead of cookies?

On second thought, I take it all back. On the site I thought was acting up, I had neglected to get rid of rss_admin_show_advanced_opts. I think everything is working beautifully now…

Sorry about that.
