I’ve noticed that if I name a custom field like this “on_section_frontpage” it’s renamed to something like this “onsectionfrontpage”.
Julian, make sure you download the most recent version (check the glz_custom_fields Google group for the link). I’ve added -_ to the allowed characters for custom field names.

Luca, is v0.3 the most recent version of your plugin? Want to implement it in the next version of glz_custom_fields.
In the future, if you have any issues like this one, drop me a line! I have dropped the ball a bit with the plugin before TXP 4.2.0, but I’m back on track now. Looking at having monthly releases, even if they’re just mini ones. Yep, that’s right, new release coming out this month ; ).
Cheers!

I found after upgrading to the latest glz_ my States and Countries list was re-sorted. For example, my countries select list starts now with South Korea and ends with Zimbabwe.
Hey Jonathan, this is not a bug. By default, since v1.2.3, custom field values are displayed “as entered”. Check the plugin preferences to set value sorting.

An option to input PHP instead of Values in the CF editing screen. Upon entering the Write tab, the PHP script gets executed and returns the value(s) for the customfield. A sort of mini-plugin for glz_c_f.
Hmm, this sounds interesting. I can see a cross between my trigger keywords custom fields and your suggestion Jelle. Care to send me an e-mail and elaborate on how you’re planning to use this functionality? A real world example would help clarify the requirements.
Cheers, Gerhard.

Yes
Want to implement it in the next version of glz_custom_fields.
Cool, of course I suggest you to check the (minimal) plugin’s code. I wouldn’t trust myself as a programmer ;)

That’s really a good news Gerhard, thank you!

Cool, will take a look in a minute.
On another note, how many of you are still using PHP4? I was wondering if I can remove PHP4 support by moving everyting to PHP5 OO?

Re: glz_custom_fields
Hi Gerhard,
I’ve re-downloaded v1.2.3 from Google Groups and i still can’t use underscores on custom fields names. They are removed after saving. on_section_front_page
becomes onsectionfrontpage
. Next to the input field I still read “Only word characters allowed”.
Thanks.

I run sites on one server that still uses PHP4, but most of my sites, including both that use glz_cf, run on a more professional setup that supports PHP5. I vote for removing PHP4 support.

Re: glz_custom_fields
I use PHP5 in all my sites, but I found that a lot of servers still use PHP4.
