Moving from local server to an external on, now I can't login

Hi,

I’ve just moved a textpattern installation from my local server to the external live one.
And everythings works just fine. But i can’t log in to the textpattern backend.
Im using 4.2.0 for the first time and i’ve never encountered this problem with any other version of txp.

Is there something new i need to change in order to make it work? I’ve already changed:
  • config.php
and in txp_prefs:
  • siteurl
  • path_to_site
  • tempdir
  • file_base_path

Thanks in advance
Johan

There’s a bug in 4.2.0 where when you log in for the first time you see a mostly blank screen. Click the “logout” link and log in again; that should fix it.

Should only happen after installation and update. If I understood correctly, JB has moved his whole installation from place A to place B after the installation has been set place. Thus, that won’t be the issue.

But if he had updated it, just a while ago, and it is the first ever login aka the login that will activate the update, then that will happen. Just page refersh should be enough if the cookie is already been set.
