eLearning and Textpattern

I have a Textpattern-powered site which now needs to include some eLearning type content (Basically, a series of linked ‘slides’ which have previously been delivered as embedded Flash content). I have a couple of quick questions which perhaps someone has experience of and can help with…

Firstly, is there an existing framework which anyone has used for eLearning? (At the moment I plan to create content with software from Articulate, hence the embedded Flash). Is there anything else I should consider instead?

Secondly, if I do go down the separate Flash content route, should I just put everything in its own directory which I don’t use as a Textpattern section (Is this fast and dangerous Textpattern meddling?)

Any suggestions gratefully received! Thank you.

Re: eLearning and Textpattern

aro_slideshow has been a good substitute for flash on a couple of occasions. The new version has even more transitions, etc…

Re: eLearning and Textpattern

Thank you Mr Dale… this might have enough oomph for what I’m after. If not, is it legitimate to just chuck everything in a static directory and link to these resources from Textpattern? (And just never use this directory name for a section)

Re: eLearning and Textpattern

The advantage of handling it all through TXP is that everything may be edited in the TXP interface and to alter stuff a person does not need FTP access. This is handy if you’re working with clients or other content creators.
