Admin Side problem with "Update Languages" - possibly corrupt database

Hello,
I have recently finished working on a site built using Textpattern.
The site is a new version of one that I completed a year or so ago. We changed hosts, moved the database files over and succesfully upgrade the version of txp. The site has been running fine with all features being available. However today a problem started occurring – When logged into the back end sometimes when you click the tabs to navigate to a new area you are sent to the “Update languages” page. All of the languages are listed as well as the install option for each, English (Great Britain) is listed as “Updated”.

As far as I can tell this happens randomly as there is no sure fire way to make it occur.

Two other odd things happened around the same time
-An inability to consistently replace the thumbnail of an uploaded image (sometimes the thumbnail replaces with the new one, sometimes it stays as the old one)
-Sometimes when I log in, after the log in page it takes me to the white page saying “logged in as mpavey – Logout(link) and the little txp man” When I refresh the page it takes me to the write page.

I have built quite a few sites in txp but this was the first one I have moved and upgraded. The problems to me seem like something might be wrong or corrupt with the database however I have been working on the site with no problems for the last 2 weeks. The client has started uploading new things to the site earlier in the week with no problems.

The reason we moved host was that the site had became so large – It has 180+ articles and around 400 images.

Any suggestions for areas to look in the database would be a great help.

Here are my Diagnostics

Re: Admin Side problem with "Update Languages" - possibly corrupt database

I think I have made a bit of progress in finding out what might be wrong.

The old site’s address was – www.address.com/blog/index.php
Where as the new sites address is www.address.com/index.php

I have changed any references to the old address in the textpattern back end though could there be some areas of code i need to change in the php files within the textpattern folder?

The images list shows this error at the top.

“Notice: Undefined variable: image_list_pageby in /home/sites/dan-mumford.com/public_html/blog/textpattern/include/txp_image.php on line 229”

I know I need to remove that /blog/ but looked through the txt_image.php and could not see any area that I could change. At line 229 it says “($can_edit ? href($name, $edit_url) : $name)”

Any tips would be great.
Thanks
Mark

Yes: Have you thought of changing txpath in textpattern/config.php?

You should never (need to) edit any file except config.php! (unless you want to hack your Txp installation…)
