Re: glz_custom_fields
Hi Gerhard,
I need urgently to finish a project I’m working on but I’m stuck with the jquery problems you mentioned here which interfere with other jquery plugins. Is there a possibility you post here the necessary amendments to the code? I’m sorry to bother but I would really appreciate it (if you can of course).

Re: glz_custom_fields
Hi Luca, I’ve been working on the new version for a few days now, quiet a few bugs to squash… I did however finish off the jQuery issues, I’m going to send you the fixed plugin in a jiffy.
Everyone else, I’m going through all thread pages one by one and fixing bugs, I’m currently on page 54, tackling the issue where default values are saved with {} in articles.

Re: glz_custom_fields
Hey thank you Gerhard!!
I didn’t expect such a quick answer, very kind of you. I’ll try the code you sent me later and I’ll let you know how it goes.
Thank you again!

Re: glz_custom_fields
Wow, thanks for hard work, Gerhard!
I’ve not yet been able to test it, but I may have the chance any time soon, on an über complex involving TXP + multi-site functionality + MLP (a rather big frankestein I’m creating).
I’ve a few quick questions/comments:
- is glz_custom_fields still compatible with MLP? (I will let you know when I tried it, but in the meanwhile, I ask)
- on the Releases notes, you mentioned: “All custom field names are trimmed now, only word
characters are allowed [A-Za-z0-9 ]”. What aboutunder_scores
? Underscores are valid on custom field names, and they may come in handy as a “separator” if you have to “parse/split” custom fields names (I’ve had once to do it)!
Thanks again for this fine release.

Re: glz_custom_fields
Hey Julian,
no idea whether the plugin is compatible with MLP, never tried the 2 together.
Good point about underscores. Changed the behavior so that it accepts both – & _ characters in custom field names. You’re right, they’re both valid. I’ve just re-packaged the plugin, the link which you’ve all received contains this quick fix.
Cheers!

Re: glz_custom_fields
Julian,
glz_custom works ok with the MLP, or at least it worked ok with previous versions.
Apart from this, probably it isn’t useful in your case but I now remember some months ago I made a very short and raw plugin which lets you give a ‘title’ (as per txp terminology) for your custom fields names.
So – for example – if your cf name is “position_on_the_homepage” you can make it show like “Position on the home page” in the write tab, without those unprofessional looking underscores.
Gerhard – sorry to pollute this thread – anyway I confirm this version works very well!

Re: glz_custom_fields
On my 4.2/1.2.3 install sed latest no longer displays more than 10 cfs, So I’m really desperately needing sed functionality in glz.
Donation forthcoming. made
