server move cripples edits
I am running txp 4.0.3 (r1188) on http://musiklus.com and the account the site was on was just moved to a newer server (running PHP5 rather than PHP4). I have some other sites running WordPress that moved alright and while this site APPEARS ok, I can’t make any changes to the site – when I hit save any changes just disappear.

Could you provide:
- Full diagnostics.
Also you need to do:
- Update your TXP install. 4.0.3 is way too old and there are some security issues fixed since. (but that is on the schedule after the diagnostics).
Possbile reasons for the problem:
- DB user doesn’t have UPDATE and INSERT rights.
- mod_security or any other security filter.
- PHP+plugin/txp.
- Browser caching.

Your first reason was it, sort of. The server CLAIMED that the DB user had all rights, but deleting and re-creating the user did it.
