[request] Batch edit timestamps

Looking for a plugin which can batch edit timestamps. It would be nice to be able to select a number of articles from under the ‘Articles’ tab and perhaps using the same dropdown which can change section, delete, change status, etc…, to choose to set the Posted column in the textpattern table to a new value. That new value would obviously be shared now by all the selected and modified articles.

In short you’re giving a selected number of articles a new Posted date. Using the native <txp:posted /> to then display time sensitive articles can be a useful alternative to plugins which create additional date attribution to achieve a time-sensitive publishing schema.

Sounds simple enough for a vet plugin writer (maybe?) but I don’t know my MySql queries – UPDATE and the rest of it, to first update the chosen Posted items and second how to choose this items via a control in TXP Admin or elsewhere.

Don’t know if this plugin would be useful to anyone besides myself but as simple as I assume it would be to create, I figured it was worth mentioning in the event that others would find something like this useful.
