Displacement of the blog root directory and default home page
(I’ve modified the original post):
I’m going to displace the blog root directory in the present home page (they were different pages till now).
I’m wondering if I need also to redirect the homepage from filename.html to filename.php: I’ve seen that using the default template and setting the path to it in the admin zone, I cannot use a file whose name is different from filename.php, all this on the contrary of what I did before for all the articles of the blog, that I named using the suffix ‘.html’.
I’m troubled cause of the possible drop in the page google-rank.
Then I’m also thinking to use a template different from the default one for the Home-page too. Could be any problem acting this way? The page printed by the template would contain anyway the links to the articles? I need this information before deciding what to do.
Thanks for paying me attention,
Bongo
