Remove CSS Editor

It has been discussed before but is still there. It is dangerous. It can actually modify your CSS without you doing anything other than opening it. Plus it is touted as a feature on textpattern.com. Big mistake in my opinion.

Re: Remove CSS Editor

+1 on removal, although I doubt that it can modify CSS (in the database) just by opening it.

Re: Remove CSS Editor

Your suggestion is to remove the CSS Editor – but still have the raw CSS edit page in Admin?

Re: Remove CSS Editor

I just updated my article on avoiding the Styles tab, having had a few questions about it. No argument from me against ditching the Styles tab entirely; it’s been quite a while since I’ve used it in any way.

Re: Remove CSS Editor

+1 for removing the slow CSS editor. The raw one is handy for plugin CSS, but I could live without it too.

Re: Remove CSS Editor

+1 for removing it.

I love the raw css editor in the db in combination with rvm_css which should in my view become part of the core:)

Re: Remove CSS Editor

I don’t use the editor, but use raw CSS in the styles tab all the time. Please don’t remove that. With rvm_css its a big winner.
